About Us – Fundacja Z Mojego Łowiska

Fundacja Z Mojego Łowiska is a group of people who deeply value nature and the opportunity to commune with it. We are officially registered to operate in Poland (KRS: 0000924275) and are committed to protecting our environment, animals, and cultural heritage through education and hands-on action.

Our Story

The story of our foundation did not begin with a registration document. It began in the hearts of hikers, anglers, birdwatchers, and educators who felt a deep, personal connection to the natural world. For years before our official registration in 2021, we worked informally—organizing clean-ups, leading nature walks, and responding to emergencies where animals were injured.

We formalized our activities on September 29, 2021, when we received our entry into the National Court Register (KRS number 0000924275) . This milestone gave us the legal standing to scale our efforts, enter partnerships, and apply for grants, while committing us to the highest standards of transparency and accountability.

Our Core Areas of Activity

Our work is guided by several core areas that reflect our deepest values:

  • Health Protection and Promotion: We believe human and environmental health are inseparable. We encourage outdoor activity, teach preventive health through nature connection, and promote the healing power of forests and fresh air.

  • Ecology and Animal Protection: We protect Poland's diverse wildlife, from white-tailed eagles to vital pollinators like bees. We respond to reports of injured animals, advocate for habitat protection, and educate the public on coexistence.

  • Protection of the Natural Environment: We take meaningful local action in Lower Silesia—restoring ecosystems, planting native species, removing invasives, and maintaining the health of our forests, meadows, and waterways.

  • Protection of Natural and National Heritage: We honor our cultural identity by reviving traditions like wild beekeeping (Bartnictwo) and advocating for the preservation of historically significant natural sites.

  • First Aid and Emergency Response: We teach practical, accessible first aid skills—including AED use—for both people and animals, empowering communities to become lifesavers.

Our Team

We are not a faceless institution. We are neighbors, educators, scientists, healthcare professionals, and volunteers from all walks of life. What unites us is a set of shared values: curiosity, compassion, integrity, and hope. We are supported by a wider community of donors, partners, and well-wishers who share our vision.

Our Approach

We believe in:

  • Collaboration, not competition—working with other organizations, agencies, and community groups.

  • Evidence-based action, grounded in science and practical local knowledge.

  • Education, through engaging, hands-on learning experiences for children and adults alike.

  • Celebrating success, to remind ourselves why our work matters and to keep us energized.

Our Commitment to Transparency

We operate with the highest standards of transparency and accountability. Our financial records are carefully maintained, and we regularly report on our activities and outcomes. We welcome questions, feedback, and scrutiny, as open dialogue makes us stronger.

Looking to the Future

We see a future where people and nature thrive together, where wild animals are protected, ancient traditions are honored, and everyone knows how to respond in an emergency. We cannot achieve this alone, but together, we can make a real difference.

We invite you to join us. Explore our projects, attend a workshop, or simply take a moment to appreciate the natural world we all share. Because ultimately, caring enough to act—and acting together—is what Fundacja Z Mojego Łowiska is all about.
